Plug Into Harvest Kids Programs
God loves me.
God has a plan for me.
I can learn about God.

These three ideas are the foundation of Harvest's Children's Programs. Harvest Kids works to sow the seeds of faith into children’s hearts, and grow in Christ together. In addition to Sunday School, special activities are planned throughout the year, so Harvest kids can foster their friendships with one another and have opportunities to worship, learn, work and play together. For example:

Vacation Bible School
One special week in July where Bible stories, Bible verses, songs, and hands-on activities help kids know more about God’s amazing love.

Easter Egg Hunt
An egg hunting, craft making, snack eating good time for everyone.

Mission Opportunities
We’ve collected shoes at Barefoot Blessings and participated in tsunami and hurricane relief projects. Harvest kids may be young, but they’re learning that they can make a difference for God.

UMC Summer Camp
Rising 4th and 5th Graders have the opportunity to spend a summer week at the United Methodist Church camp in Leesburg, Florida. Kids enjoy an amazing time growing their relationship with God.

Nursery & Toddlers

Our youngest children are a very important part of the life and ministry of Harvest UMC. Our goal is to provide a safe and loving place for your child to experience God’s love. We offer simple Bible stories, new friends, fun toys, and laughter. When sad moments come, we promise to comfort little hearts and wipe away tears with compassion. Nursery is provided during the 9am and 10:30am worship services. Caring staff greet the children each Sunday along with wonderful servant volunteers offering warm arms and loving hearts. Children born on or after September 2, 2007 go to Peapods. Children born between September 2, 2006 and September 1, 2007 go to Cuddly Carrots. Children born between September 2, 2005 and September 1, 2006 go to Cool Cucumbers.

Sunday School
Every child is invited to come and learn with us in Sunday School offered weekly at 9am and 10:30am. Each week, the children hear important messages from the Bible and learn how to connect with God in every aspect of their lives. The age ranges for all Harvest Kids classrooms have been established to balance the number of children in each room, allow for appropriate curriculum for children, and provide an environment for children to grow friendships with peers who may also become schoolmates. It is important that parents sign children into their assigned classroom each Sunday.

9am Sunday School Procedures
All children birth through fifth grade are signed into classrooms by parents before the 9am worship services begins. Parents will sign children out of their Sunday School classroom immediately following worship service.

10:30am Sunday School Procedures
Before the 10:30 service begins, children need to be signed into their Sunday School class at the sign-in station in the Gathering Area. Parents sign their children into the appropriate class and get a color coded nametag for each child. Preschool-Fifth graders worship with their families in the Harvest Centre for approximately 15 minutes at the beginning of the service. Following A Time Especially for Children, children exit the Harvest Centre using the side doors and head off to class. Parents sign children out of their Sunday School classroom immediately following the service.

Safety Policy
The congregation of Harvest United Methodist Church is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all children, youth, and volunteers who participate in ministries and activities sponsored by the church. Safety policy packets are available. We encourage parents to review our procedures.
