Sundays at Harvest
|
At Harvest, a design team prayerfully plans worship around themes that
typically run 4-8 weeks at a time. In designing worship for every
Sunday, careful attention is given to how every aspect of worship—the
music, the visuals, the prayers, the children’s time, the
altar—connects with the theme that comes from the Scripture and
preaching for that Sunday. Our hope is that worship experiences at
Harvest will draw people into a fresh experience of God and an
opportunity to discover something about God and/or themselves that they
did not recognize before.
Harvest offers two worship experiences every Sunday. The basic pattern
of worship is the same for both services, including congregational
singing, Prayers of the People, reading and preaching of the Word, and
the celebration of communion. The 10:30 service includes a Time
Especially for Children. Loving, experienced childcare is provided
every week in our nursery for children ages 2 years old and under. At
10 o’clock, between worship services, we share fellowship with
half-time refreshments served.
We would love to welcome you as our guest this Sunday.

9:00 AM:
Traditional Worship with Sunday School for All Ages
The praise and worship music at this service is typically accompanied
by piano and the Harvest Choir. The 9am service includes a variety of
hymns from the United Methodist Hymnal and occasional songs from other
sources. Individuals or small groups offers special music on ocassional
Sundays at this service.
10:30 AM:
Worship Celebration with Sunday School for All Ages
The congregational music at the 10:30 service is accompanied by the
Harvest Sounds Praise Band, inclusive of a variety of instruments.
Featured are some of the emerging songs in the Christian music world as
well as contemporary favorites and some hymns that have been set to
band arrangements. Special music is frequently offered at this service.
by individuals or small groups of musicians. 5:00 PM:
Harvest Youth Ministry. Fellowship for 6th-12th Graders
For youth, from 6th to 12th grades, there is HY5, a program especially
for them every Sunday evening beginning at 5pm. The evening includes
games, dinner, music, small group learning, and worship time that
speaks to the heart and in the language of pre-teens and teenagers.
Christmas Eve at Harvest We know you will want to join the Harvest family in celebration on Thursday, December 24th. There will be three opportunities to attend a Christmas Eve service. Here is a look at the schedule: 5:00PM: Bring the kids! This service is a great one for persons of any age who want to gather early and is designed with our littlest ones and their families especially in mind. Worship will include a special time for children, music with the Harvest praise band, a message of hope, and a candlelight closing. 7:00PM: Right in the heart of the evening, it’s a great time to come and join others for a special worship celebration. Pre-service music will be offered and worship will include a special time for children, music from both our youth and adult praise bands, a message of hope, and a candlelight closing. Loving childcare for children under 3 years old will be provided at both 5 and 7 in the Harvest nursery. 9:00PM: As the evening draws to a close, come and prepare your hearts for Christmas with a service of worship that will bring back fond memories. Worship will begin with the sound of familiar carols and will include special music offerings by the Harvest adult choir and a candlelight closing.
